The Lizard Peninsula

Explore the Lizard Peninsula from different perspectives with a 5 hour land tour and 3 hours aboard a small private yacht on the Helford river. Your adventure will be organised on the day to take full advantage of the tides allowing us to venture upstream at high tide whilst exploring the famous Kynance cove at low tide.

Highlights of the day include By land, Lizard Point (the most southerly point of mainland Britain), Kynance cove with its sandy beach and caves, the Lizard lifeboat station, Coverack and Cadgwith (both traditional fishing coves) and other quaint villages and view points as time allows.

By water, the stunning Helford river, Frenchmans Creek, made famous by the author Daphne du Maurier, Tremayne quay (built for Queen Victoria) and onwards to Gweek as tide allows.

Your guide and driver for the day is Simon who is also the owner and skipper of your yacht for the day, Shebeca. She is a fully coded vessel and all safety gear provided, you just need to have sensible shoes and a warm jacket. Shebeca can take 4 persons on board.

Should a member of your party prefer not to go afloat then the footpath along the Helford is a special walk or simply enjoy the views from the sailing club terrace and enjoy a drink.
